At Schwerdtle, our proprietary process for bonding silicone rubber to metal allows us to offer durable, long-lasting tools and components. Our silicone rubber specialists can advise on the use of silicone rollers and can supply you with rolls and sheet stock to meet almost every application.

Silicone Rubber Rolls
Schwerdtle manufactures silicone rubber rolls with excellent thermal conductivity that can be used in hot-stamping machines to apply foil to flat plastic parts. Raised artwork can be tip-stamped with a silicone roller, and foil can also be applied to curved and cylindrical surfaces with a silicone roller.
The small contact area of a roll allows decals, foil and multicolored heat transfers to be applied to large areas by conforming to minor surface variations of the molded parts while preventing air entrapment. Silicone rubber rolls can also be used for banding, laminating and other forms of decorating. Rolls are also used in hot-stamp machines for foil take-up after hot stamping.
The rolls are ground concentric O.D. to I.D. and Schwerdtle can recoat your worn roll or make new rolls to your specifications.
Silicone Rubber Sheets
Sheets are used for a variety of decorating and assembly operations, including applying foil to raised lettering (tip stamping), applying heat transfer decals
They can be waterjet fabricated and holes can be drilled and tapped into the aluminum for mounting.
Schwerdtle manufactures silicone sheets bonded to a metal backing in a wide range of sizes, compounds and durometers. Our silicone rubber is bonded to aluminum or steel via a chemical tie bond designed to withstand heat up to 600˚F and 40psi pressure, which is the maximum recommended for normal hot-stamping applications.
Thin silicone rubber bonded to dead soft aluminum can be formed to fit contoured parts with proper associated tooling.
Textured Silicone Rubber
Assorted textures can be molded into the flat surface of a silicone die or sheet stock as a means of preventing air entrapment when applying foil or heat transfer decals.
