Erika McCarthy

Art Director and Customer Service Manager
The truth is, if Schwerdtle had a Superwoman award it would go to Erika year after year for her passionate dedication to her customers. She came to Schwerdtle 28 years ago, just as the company was transitioning from typesetting to the first true software and hardware designed for artists and artwork – thank you Steve Jobs. Over the years, Erika has created, tweaked, catalogued and stored artwork for hundreds of thousands of silicone and steel hot stamp dies, embossing tools and steel stamps for customers in cosmetics, packaging, automotive, medical and aerospace. She is a perfectionist and notices every detail of the artwork and troubleshoots each design from the perspective of how it is going to perform in the real world of production and on a 3-dimensional part.
Erika’s expertise and passionate dedication to her customers prepared her well for arguably the most critical managerial position in the company. She is the Art Director and Customer Service Manager. Recognizing that each job comes to us with drawings, artwork, solids files as well as prototypes and samples, Erika advocated for the merging of customer service and the art department to create a single point of contact where all orders and communications with the customer begin. In addition to getting projects into production with everything necessary for the job to flow smoothly through the factory, Erika meets daily with our production managers to make sure orders are on track and will meet their promise dates.
If you have a new project and want to be sure it gets off on the right foot, start with our Art/Customer Service Department.
