Creating perfect solutions from imperfect information. Very often there are discrepancies in the CAD (surface) files from the designers and the actual molded parts. These minor imperfections can make or break a decorating run budget. Our experienced die engineering specialists compensate for wall thickness variations, flat spots, shrinkage and many other imperfections that will ruin a production run. Very often, we can customize the die blanks or create dual-durometer dies that can effectively overcome these issues.

People go to Schwerdtle for the expertise behind the dies, not just to buy the dies.

What if there are no CAD drawings? Well, that’s OK too. Our branding equipment can create fixtures and decorating tools right from your actual parts. If needed, we can obtain accurate surface geometry by scanning your part and then models can be built up in polygons, surfaces or as parametric solids. In cases where 3D CAD models do exist, they might need a die engineering adjustment to reflect “as built” instead of “as designed”.
